Fundatia Cartea Calatoare
In 2008 Fundatia Cartea Calatoare (Traveling Book Foundation) introduced in Romania the Daisy standard in creating #accessible books for blind and impaired people.
Mircea Bucur, president and founder of the Traveling Book Foundation, is the first blind computer user in Romania.
He has given up books written in Braille in favor of a speech synthesizer and a screen reader. So far, he managed to equip over 40 public libraries in the country with “Daisy” readers and he is the initiator of the film accessibility system for the blind people.
